The study of a musical instrument is an engaging and enriching process that is defined by discipline and hard work. The prospect of performance helps the student to set clear and achievable goals. Amy Boyes teaches private lessons to students from elementary to advanced. Her students frequently participate in the Ottawa Kiwanis Music Festival, in conservatory examinations, and in local community performance events.
Amy is a member of the Royal Conservatory of Music's College of Examiners and is a Certified Teacher of Piano, History and Harmony.
As an adjudicator, Amy has judged piano festivals across Canada. She is a member of the Canadian Music Festival Adjudicators' Association. She is also a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association and is president of the Ottawa Region Branch.
